SOMERSET B5-P Premium Leather Watercolour Sketchbook

Premium grade, leather cover watercolour sketchbook in B5 portrait format.  

The paper block is comprised of 46-page, 190 gsm, 100% cotton, cold-pressed Saunders Waterford watercolour paper from the eminent English St. Cuthberts Paper Mill.  The paper is a medium weight, wet-media sketching paper specially made for watercolour and acrylic painting.  Each signature of the paper stock is meticulously hand-deckled, hand-stitched and bound to perfect alignment.

The cover is made with 4-oz natural, full-grain vegetable-tanned buffalo leather, prized for its bold and unique character and grain pattern, and will acquire a beautiful natural satin lustre over time.  Leather protects the paper stock for decades while the value of the journal increases when design and artistic contents are included.  Elastic band closure holds the contents securely in place.  

Somerset is the English county where the St Cuthberts Paper Mill is situated.  The  mill is one of the most reputable paper mills in England and has specialized in the manufacturing of high quality artists papers since the 1700's. The Saunders Waterford papers are endorsed by the British Royal Watercolour Society.
