Handcrafted leather bag charm inspired by the unique Japanese traditional art form of origami.  The origami crane, Orizuru, is a symbol of healing and good fortune in the Japanese culture. Often given as token of success, friendship and peace, the Orizuru is also considered the most classic pattern of this centuries-old origami art form.

Full-grained vegetable tanned leather from European tanneries is used for the construction of the bag charm, ensuring sufficient stiffness and foldability.  Every piece is hand-cut, meticulously folded and hand-stitched.  Waxed threads are used to strengthen the seams and bind the leather components, and the entire piece is saddle-stitched for extended durability - a traditional and time-honoured method in fine leathercrafting.
