Studio Arkademie ORCHID PH 35 Leather Handbag, Bordeaux

Handcrafted leather open-top handbag inspired by the classic French top-flap handbag.  Applique motif is representative of the elegant Phalaenopsis orchid, with its graceful, arching inflorescences of rounded-petals that resemble resting moths.

4-oz SULLY goat leather from the legendary French tannery ALRAN is used for the construction of the outer shell.  Full goat leather lining.  Every motif piece is hand-cut, meticulously appliqued and hand-stitched onto a leather base.  Waxed threads are used to strengthen the seams and bind the leather components.  The entire sleeve is saddle-stitched for extended durability - a traditional and time-honoured method in fine leathercrafting.
